GALVANIC CURRENT
Effects of galvanic current on the human body, as a secondary phenomenon are:
- improved circulation
- reduced tissue inflammation and improving of local tissue metabolism,
- analgesic effect (reduction of pain sensation)
- short-term increase in muscle tone and excitability
- with introduction of drugs across the skin using galvanic current (electrophoresis) combines the influence of electric power and influence of the drug.
Indications for galvanic currents:
- neuralgia, neuritis
- peripheral paresis and paralysis
- myofascial syndrome
- osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendinitis
- arthrosis, arthritis (painful knees, hips, wrists)
- cervical and lumbar syndrome
- post-traumatic swelling and hematoma, distortion, distension
- peripheral circulatory disorders
